There are other Family Sponsored Visas available for individuals who wish to migrate to Australia with the support of an eligible family member. Here are the main options:
Career Visa (Subclass 116/836):
For individuals who are willing and able to provide substantial ongoing care for an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen with a medical condition.
Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115/835):
For individuals whose only near relatives are living in Australia as citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens.
Child Visa (Subclass 802 & 101)
A parent who meets the eligibility requirements can sponsor their child’s permanent residency in Australia using the Child Visa (Subclass 802 and 101). For children under 18 years of age, parents can submit the visa application on behalf of the child.
Both visas allow the child to live permanently in Australia with their parents, providing access to education, healthcare, and eventually Australian citizenship.
Adoption Visa (Subclass 102)
Children who are adopted or about to be adopted by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen can live in Australia under the Adoption Visa (Subclass 102).
Typically, the adoptive parent submits the visa application on the child’s behalf and acts as the sponsor. If the adoption is being handled by the adoption authority of an Australian state or territory, the visa application must be submitted before the adoption is finalized. This visa allows the adopted child to live permanently in Australia, with access to healthcare, education, and the possibility of applying for Australian citizenship in the future.
Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115)
The Remaining Relative Visa (Subclass 115) is designed for individuals who are the only remaining family members living in their home country after all of their close relatives have moved to Australia. This visa allows the applicant to join their family and live permanently in Australia.
